Hi everybody. Your Crones are back!
We are entering our fourth year. I can’t believe it. We’ve created such a body of work—four years is a long time for a podcast.
Yes, it is. And when I look back to where we started and where we are now—and all the people who’ve communicated with us and told us how wonderful our podcasts and YouTube videos are… I was in the bank the other day and someone said, “Don’t you have a podcast?” I said, “Yeah.” She said, “You’re one of the Crones.” Yes, I am. So, I know we are making a difference. People are finding us.
This year—our fourth year—we’re focusing on seeking the Wild Woman.
Yes. Because as Crones, we are wild women. Ask anybody who knows us and they’ll tell you. True story.
How will we do that? We want to invite you to join us as we follow seasonal themes: the garden, fireside, the ancestors; bead-making, rosary practice; all kinds of music; the elements; connection with Earth; handmade instructional videos. Do you remember—did you see Annabelle’s wonderful how-to-make-a-lavender-wand video? So beautiful, so informative. We’re going to give you more of that because we know you love it, and we have a lot to share when it comes to crone wisdom: practices, stories, movement, ritual. Stay tuned—you’ll really enjoy this.
Sounds exciting, Linda.
I think it was Betty who said earlier: when we look at what it means to be a wild woman—do you have one? Where is she? Some of us don’t think we do. Some of us are very clear that we’re wild because people tell us that all the time. We’re looking forward to exploring that. We’ll have an extra video at the beginning of September—our “back-to-school” podcast—on the wild woman in education: our friend Jenn, who defies social norms as an educator. It’s exciting. She’s fiercely independent, an activist committed to building community within her school—a forty-something wild woman. Stay tuned for the other video where we interviewed her; we’ll also look at menopause. So the first one will be Jenn and her educational journey, and we’re looking forward to sharing that—stepping into all the different ways that we are wild women, can be wild women, and can find our wild woman within.
Wild women will change the world.
Come join us.
And they always have. Women have always changed the world. Just look at Hildegard von Bingen.
Yes—she was a wild woman. People may not think of her that way, but she truly is.
One who’s still influencing us a thousand years later—her music, her writings. How many women can say they wrote something a thousand years ago that’s now being played on a mega TV show—Game of Thrones? Really. There you go. A wild woman.
We want to help you find your wild woman—on the off chance you haven’t found her yet. We all have that wild woman within us. It’s just a case of letting her out.
That’s the exciting part—looking for her, letting her out, and letting it rip.
Come join us. And in the meantime, go find your glimmer.
Your wild woman is going to help you navigate the muddy waters of our time—yes—in a way that changes things. And in the meantime, we’re going to take care of ourselves. We’ll continue to share tools with you about how to care for yourself. And remember to walk in beauty. Always beautiful.
Lovely. Bye—looking forward to year four. Bye.
